Where to buy madeleines in Bangkok

If you want a madeleine in Bangkok, you can walk into a riverside hotel pastry café, a mall counter at CentralWorld, or a French bakery chain, or order a gift box for delivery. Below are four places where we could confirm madeleines on a public page, how to buy at each, and a few tips so you get a good one.

Cafe Madeleine, Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River

• Area: Charoen Krung, on the riverfront (300/1 Charoen Krung Road).
• How to buy: walk in, open daily 7:00 to 19:00, or pre-order online for pickup through the hotel's at-home shop.
• Public fact: the café is named after the cake, and the hotel's press facts page mentions its madeleines. Time Out's February 2022 review gave ฿420 for a box of six; the hotel does not publish a current price.

MOO YOO Baker's Gallery, CentralWorld

• Area: Pathum Wan, CentralWorld (4, 4/1-4/2 Rama I Road) (home base in Nakhon Pathom).
• How to buy: walk in, open 10:00 to 22:00.
• Public fact: its own site lists madeleines from ฿35 each, and a set of 5 for ฿165 (checked 14 October 2026).

Maison Eric Kayser, EmQuartier and Siam Paragon

• Area: branches include EmQuartier and Siam Paragon.
• How to buy: walk in, or order delivery through LINE MAN (Wongnai) from the EmQuartier branch.
• Public fact: the EmQuartier menu on Wongnai x LINE MAN lists an Original Madeleine at ฿45 (checked 14 October 2026).

Ondine (our own bakery)

• Disclosure: Ondine is the bakery that publishes this guide.
• Area: we deliver across central Bangkok by Grab Express (roughly Bang Sue to Bang Na, and Thon Buri to Bang Kapi), Monday to Saturday, 10:00 to 18:00. Closed on Sundays. There is no shop to walk into.
• How to buy: order online at ondinehouse.com/shop, or build your own box. We bake madeleines in the morning and pack them as gift boxes: Petite (3 madeleines, ฿290) and Signature (5 madeleines, ฿450), in a logo bag with a ribbon and a wish card.

How to choose where to buy: step by step

1. Decide where you will eat it. Sitting down with a coffee? A café. Already at a mall? A mall counter. Sending it to someone's door? Delivery or a gift box.
2. Check the day and the hours. Opening hours differ a lot between these places, and some are closed on certain days. Ondine, for example, does not deliver on Sundays.
3. Ask when they were baked. It is the easiest question, and a good bakery can answer it.
4. Look at both sides. Ridges on one side, a rounded hump on the other. Our guide on how to spot a good madeleine has a ten-second check.
5. Try a plain one first. It shows the cake most clearly. Then explore plain, stuffed or topped styles.

Tips for buying madeleines as a gift

• Pick a box size for the table. Three for one person or a couple, five for a family.
• Plan around delivery hours. For a same-day surprise, order early in the day.
• Add a short message. A wish card turns a snack into a present.
